Roughnecks meeting Nov. 30

Monday = Roughnecks Scooterclub meeting @ Randaberg.

Todays meeting included the usual suspects, and as always, a good portion of the latest Vespa gossip. Pictures:

Incontinent Vespas & getting control of the garage

This morning smelled different than other mornings... My missus complained about gasoline smell from the basement, which also incorporates the garage.

I immediately understood what the problem was, more about that here in Regines blog.

Yosephine has been out of service since the puncture, but things are about to happen, I hope... More about that here.

Lately, I have also been in the "tidying-things-up" mood, and the past few days I've got some quality time in the garage. Working on getting control over my "overflooded" garage and workshop area in the basement of my house, I'm looking at getting the garage equipped with new work benches and getting control of all my tools. Not an easy task, but it's getting better every day.

This is this weeks result:

A rolling cabinet for all my TIG stuff...

Argon bottle and TIG consumables go inside, plenty of space.

Now, I've been a pretty nice fella this year, so can I have one of these for X-mas?

These rolling tool cabinets comes in different configurations and price categories. But I'm sure it will be worth the cost, I have a nasty habit of buying new equipment because I can't find the equipment that I already have...

By the way, meet my new companions:

Mr Race, excellent companion on cold days...

and Cleo (Siamese) and Linus (Korat), eagerly follows me into the garage if I forget to close the door.

Roughnecks scooterclub meeting

Roughnecks scooterclub holds meetings right outside Stavanger, in Randaberg, typically one or two times every month. The club has its own workshop, and a handful of dedicated scooter enthusiasts.

This Monday it was crowded (5 being a crowd...), and we got to discuss and review a lot of scooter related stuff.

If you are interested in joining the club, feel free to contact us (either on my blog) or say hi on the facebook homepage. The club is working on getting a website up and running, but for now the Facebook page is easiest way of getting in contact.

BTW: A great thanks to Victor for supplying me with a scrap headset and half a engine block to test weld in.

Winterseason is getting close

It's November, but still scooter-weather here in Stavanger. Almost every day I commute to work with either Yosephine or Regine. Both blogs have been updated with new posts.

As long as the weather stays above a couple of degrees Centigrades, I will continue scootering to work.

With regards to restoration work on Ferdinand, things have been going very slowly lately. Weather does not permit painting of parts outside, neither is it pleasant to work in a cold garage.
